ABU DHABI: The Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT) has asked food handlers to wear masks in certain places like hospitals, mosques, and public transport, even though the mask requirement has been lifted in the UAE. The green pass law will continue in Abu Dhabi.
Those who must wear a mask
Those who are covid positive, symptomatic, elderly, and those with serious health problems. Masks are also required in mosques, hospitals, and public transport buses.
No mask required
Masks are not required in public places, shopping malls, other business establishments, government and private establishments, schools, closed rooms, UAE national airlines such as Etihad Airways, Emirates Airline, Fly Dubai, and airports. Can be worn if mandatory in the destination country. Those going to India, China, Japan, Indonesia, Maldives, Philippines, South Korea, Seychelles, and Canada must wear a mask.
(1)Etihad Airways
Etihad Airways does not require a PCR test before travel for those who have received the Covid vaccine. No vaccine certificate is required.
PCR test was taken 48 hours before travel and is mandatory for those who have not taken the vaccine. Terms do not apply to persons under 16 years of age.
(2)Emirates Airline
Passengers coming to Dubai should carry a vaccine certificate with a QR code, a negative PCR test result within 48 hours, or a medical certificate stating that they have been free from Covid for one month. Terms do not apply to persons under 16 years of age.
(3)Alhosan App
Visitors are not required to download the Alhosan app. But for those visiting Abu Dhabi, it is advisable to download it as they need to show their Greenpass at Al Hosan.
Greenpass for Sharjah school parents
The Sharjah Private Education Department has announced that Green Pass is mandatory for parents visiting the school. Cleaning and disinfection should continue in the school.
5 days of quarantine for those who are Covid positive. Contacts are not quarantined. Those with symptoms should undergo a PCR test.
