Doha : Generation Amazing aimed at social development through football, 10 lakh beneficiaries in 35 countries including India. A new year-long ‘Goal-22’ project has also started. Generation Amazing is one of the legacy projects of FIFA World Cup Qatar.
It is one of the major milestones of Generation Amazing Foundation that the benefit of the project started in 2010 has already been made available to 10 lakh people. The Generation Amazing Festival also provides an opportunity for young people from around the world to come together. Generation Amazing works in support of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Social development through football through Generation Amazing promotes gender equality and acceptance and provides training to acquire important skills essential for life success such as communication, leadership, teamwork and organization.
Generation Amazing’s work aimed at building football pitches, football training for children and youth and youth empowerment has already gained global attention.
Goal-22 begins
Doha: Goal-22, a new sports and cultural exchange program of Generation Amazing Foundation, has been launched. Goal-22: Football, Social Impact, Sustainability’ is a new program that aims to empower young people interested in football.
Officials explained in a press conference that the program involving students from all 32 countries competing in the FIFA World Cup is being supported by Qatar Foundation, Qatar Football Association, Ministry of Sports and Youth, FIFA Foundation, Qatar Tourism and UNESCO.
The program will also hold physical and virtual workshops on key life skills with the support of Generation Amazing’s delivery partners. GOAL-22 supports students globally to become better social and sustainable development champions in their communities.
