Dubai: Preparations for Christmas and New Year celebrations have started in the UAE. Various shopping malls, local organizations and private institutions are all gearing up for Christmas celebrations. With the winter holidays approaching for schools in the UAE, there will be a rush to witness and enjoy the festivities first hand.
In most schools, Friday is the last working day before winter break. Due to the high air ticket prices during the festive season, a section of people celebrate Christmas and New Year in the UAE itself.
According to the expatriates, Christmas celebration is more popular in the UAE than in the country. Because Christmas-themed preparations can be seen in every nook and cranny of the city days before.
Dubai’s Expo City has turned into a winter wonderland for the winter holidays. Christmas baubles have already gone up in Expo City’s Mobility District, anticipating the arrival of children in droves during the holiday season.
The advantage is that the public can enjoy here for free until January 8 next year. From Opti the robot to Santa Claus, the Winter City at Expo City is lined up.
Apart from this, winter market stalls selling traditional items have also been set up at the Mobility District, Surreal Water Feature and Al Wasl Plaza. Public can visit here from 3 pm to 11 pm.
Meanwhile, from December 10 to January 1, you can visit here for free from 10 am to 11 pm. Expo City also organizes different celebrations on New Year’s Day.
The night before New Year’s Day will be lit up with fireworks and fireworks in various emirates. In many places, there will be various art programs that can be viewed for free by the public. The country has already started preparations for this.
