Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s foreign trip has been extended. The Chief Minister will return to Kerala only after visiting the UAE. It was earlier decided to return on October 12 after visiting Norway and Britain.
In the context of the new trip, the Chief Minister will return on the 15th. Yesterday, the Chief Minister cancelled his visit to Cardiff at the last minute. The decision was changed because we had to visit a long distance by land.
The Chief Minister went to Europe on October 4. Ministers P. Rajeev and V. Abdurrahman were in the group along with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The group that first arrived in Norway had a meeting with the Norwegian Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Policy. The decision was taken in the discussion held by the Chief Minister with the Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Policy on forming a maritime cluster and implementing new projects in Kerala.
The meeting also decided to hold an investor meeting of Norwegian companies in January. The ministers, NORKA Resident Vice-Chairs P.Sreeramakrishnan, and the chief secretary who was in the group will return to Kerala the next day.
A team consisting of Health Minister Veena George, Industries Minister P. Rajeev, Chief Secretary VP Joy, and OSD Venu Rajamani held discussions with Welsh Health Minister Eoin Morgan.
The team also held discussions with NHS Chief Nursing Officer Sue Trang. A detailed study report prepared by architect lecturer Shibu Raman for the comprehensive development of Kochi city was also submitted to the government.
Shibu Raman is an architect lecturer at Cardiff University. Shibu Rama report is also being prepared for the development of Kozhikode city. The Chief Secretary informed me that the report will be examined in detail. Chief Secretary V. P. Joy stated that further steps will be taken if it is accepted.
