A daily, weekly, or monthly reservation can be booked
Dubai: The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai said on Tuesday that parents in the emirate can now schedule taxis online in advance for school pickup and drop-off. Residents can reserve taxis for the daily, weekly, or monthly school run, especially in areas without school transportation.
The RTA’s Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) app, which now offers the “In-Safe Hands” service, can be used to make a booking. Both Apple and Android users can download the software.
The new feature “The ‘In-Safe Hands’ service allows parents of students to pre-book taxis daily, weekly, or monthly to lift their children to and from their schools, increasing the confidence, happiness, and security of the taxi service and diversifying the channels of service delivery to customers,” the RTA noted. The service takes care of needs in areas where school buses do not go.”
Keen to serve
Director of DTC Digitization and Commercial Development Abdullah Ibrahim Al Meer stated, “DTC is keen to satisfy the demands of clients by delivering them excellent services, and at the same time increase the integration of RTA’s multi-modal transport.”
He added: “The service’s launch on the digital app follows a phenomenal demand rise, which climbed by as much as 122% between 2021 and 2022 “.
