Based on GPCI; cleanliness reflects culture and faith

Dubai: According to the Global Power City Index (GPCI), published by Japan’s Mori Memorial Foundation, Dubai has been crowned as the cleanest city in the world for the third year in a row.

To express his pride and gratitude His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE, and ruler of Dubai shared a tweet on Friday praising the city’s victory.

There he stated that cleanliness is a representation of culture and faith more than hygiene. Also, the factors that sustain Dubai’s safety, stability and beauty are closely related to its cleanliness. These elements make the city the most ideal one in the world and improve the standard of living.

The biggest cities in the world are rated by the GPCI’s Institute for Urban Strategies based on their “magnetism,” or overall capacity to draw residents, investors, and businesses from all over the world.

Six main factors are evaluated by the GPCI to present the multidimensional ranking. These include economy, research and development, cultural interaction, livability, environment, and accessibility. By analysing global cities and examining each ranking components, the GPCI can understand the advantages, disadvantages, and difficulties faced by these cities in a world that is always changing.
