Bicycle and e-scooter users get a chance to win cash prizes
Dubai: The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is offering a chance to bicycle and e-scooter users of Dubai to win cash. The only condition in this process is that you must abide by the laws and regulations of the road.
A two-day campaign to reward cautious drivers on the roads was started by the RTA on Wednesday.
The authority announced in a tweet that as part of the campaign called “The Safe Rider”, a total of Dh20,000 in cash prizes will be awarded by the authority.
Twenty people will be chosen at random from the many residents of Dubai who rides bicycles and electric scooters every day. These selected people will be rewarded Dh1000.
To qualify, the participants are requested to abide by all the traffic rules according to RTA. These laws include following speed limits, using the proper lanes, and wearing safety gear.
The programme was introduced as a part of Gulf Traffic Week 2023 events, which are taking place from now until March 12.
