Please ensure your candidate is capable to efficiently perform below identified (but not limited to) key accountabilities:

Fulfil the role of Lead Structural Engineer in the Projects team for conceptual, front end and detailed engineering design.

Participate in offshore surveys as required.

Participate in constructability surveys or reviews.

Provide input and approval into complex heavy lifts being carried out as part of projects.

Participate in relevant safety processes such as Hazard Identification Studies (HAZID), Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP), etc.

Implement and safely deliver structural engineering designs in accordance with planning schedules and cost estimates.

Provide supervision, direction and support for all Structural personnel.

Ensure work is executed in a diligent and safe manner in compliance with the Management System associated working procedures, relevant Dubai Petroleum, national or international standards as appropriate.

Interpret work-scope requirements and demonstrate ability to recognise potential problems and prospective solutions.

Manage third-party service providers where these have been contracted.

Ensure all design changes are captured by the change control process.

Effectively communicate with onshore and offshore personnel.

Provide management reports as required.

Attend project meetings as required.

Contribute to development of plans, schedules and estimates for individual work scopes and the integrated plan.

Identify appropriate resources within the Structural group to undertake all assigned activities.

Review job progress and cost reports regarding Structural engineering activities.

Effectively and efficiently liaise with other disciplines and departments in the execution of the work.

Identify new or innovative technology that will provide improvements in safety, operations or reduced costs.

Required Education, Experience And Skills

Please do not propose candidates who does not have below requirements:

Relevant engineering degree – preferably PE or Chartered status.

Minimum 15 Years’ Experience In a Similar Position.

Competent user of STAAD PRO software program.

Working knowledge of SACS software program.

Demonstrated subject knowledge and competence.

Extensive knowledge of Brownfield Engineering Solutions to avoid Hot Work welding in designs.

Demonstrated familiarity and knowledge of necessary safety practices, design criteria, and technical standards to ensure implementation of best practice during discharge of work-scopes.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

A pro-active approach to solving problems and getting the job done.

Has a flexible approach to ever changing projects’ requirements.
