Your Responsibilities
The goal of the ServiceNow Senior Developer is to build, test, and maintain a strategic enterprise service management platform that includes ITSM processes; this person will own the development tasks of the solution based on integration of ServiceNow with other existing Technology platforms.
The ServiceNow Senior Developer must align with the Enterprise Architects, functional ops leads, and service delivery managers for technical designs and technical implementation to ensure use cases are met in the most effective manner for the underlying ServiceNow platform. The deliverables are expected to meet high-quality standards.
You will have the ability to solve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast-paced, agile environment. We’re looking for a developer with the skills needed to build and automate processes from vision to implementation in ServiceNow, responsible for building solutions and configuring SNOW platform capabilities to support Technology team members & business customers’ key projects/initiatives.
Develop and modify ServiceNow workflows, forms, lists, business rules, UI components using SCRUM / Agile methodologies
Provide configuration and customization including, but not limited to: user interface, workflow administration, reports, data imports, integration, custom scripting and third-party software integrations by applying best practices
Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing configuration and workflows to develop strategies for improving or further integrations leveraging ServiceNow
Develop requirements, craft and execute test plans, administer ServiceNow and serve as Level 2 SNOW support
Identify ServiceNow system deficiencies and recommend solutions
Participate in creating and developing standards, best practices, support guidelines and procedures
Schedule and verify ServiceNow instance clones
Partner with integrations subject matter expert to use web services, email and other relevant technology to integrate tools with the ServiceNow platform
Research new feature enhancements and functionalities from ServiceNow
Expand and Implement other ServiceNow modules catering the entire ESM spectrum
Support the development and configuration on various areas including, but not limited to ITSM, Service Portal and Performance Analytics
Formulate functional testing approach, test cases and document them, Support User Acceptance Tests and deploy code into Production in defined releases
Support ServiceNow platform upgrades
Your Qualifications
6+ years of experience with Web development, including X-HTML, CSS3, SQL, XML, Bootstrap, or Angular, and back-end technologies including, JavaScript, PHP, .NET, or Java
6+ years of experience of ITSM and ServiceNow development, including administrative experience, scripting, business rules, client scripts, data imports, custom apps, and development methods
Experience with development on ServiceNow life cycle events, activity sets, and templates
Experience with implementing scripted Web services in ServiceNow, jQuery, relational databases, and SQL queries
Experience with Agile development methodology, requirements management and JIRA, or a similar RTM platform
Knowledge of REST and SOAP Web service protocols
Experience working with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript (AngularJS), PowerShell, XML, SOAP, REST, Jelly, etc.)
Service Now Administrator Certifications, Certified ServiceNow Implementation Specialist, ITIL foundation
Advanced experience of using and building Configuration Management (inc. CMDB) in ServiceNow
Knowledge of SAML, Active Directory, or LDAP (Prefered)
Ability to work with stakeholders to define requirements (Prefered)
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills (Prefered)
