Pope Francis’ visit to Bahrain begins today. Information Minister Dr. Ramzan Bin Abdullah Al Naaimi said. Pope Francis will offer Mass at the Bahrain National Stadium in Manama the next day at 8.30 am.
Awali will land at Zakir Air Base this evening at 4.45 Bahrain time. Meeting with the ruler of Bahrain, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, at Zakir Palace at 5.30 p.m. Meeting with dignitaries at 6.30 p.m. The Pope will inaugurate the concluding meeting of the Bahrain Forum for Dialogue’s debate program on the topic of East and West for Human Survival tomorrow at 10 am. Private meeting with Al Azhar Grand Imam at 4 pm.
The Pope will meet with members of the Muslim Council for Adults at the Mosque of Zakir Royal Palace. Followed by a prayer of peace and religious fellowship at Our Lady of Arabia Cathedral. On the 5th at 5 in the evening he will interact with the children of Sacred Heart School.
At six in the morning, he will attend prayers at the Sacred Heart Church in Manama. At 12.30 pm, the Pope will be seen off at Zakir Air Base. This is the second visit of Pope Francis to the Gulf Arab countries. In 2019, he visited Abu Dhabi, UAE.
