Tamil women stand out in UAE National Day celebration; Organic UAE flag as star

Sharjah: Tamil Nadu women stand out at the 51st UAE National Workers Day celebration.  51 women from Tamil Nadu Association made an organic UAE flag using pulses and spices in 51 minutes in an area of ​​100.51 square meters in the event held at Labor Park in Sajah Industrial Area.

  These seeds are then cooked and distributed to the workers.  Spices include red chillies, whole moong, black seeds and Indian sago seeds.  Salem Yousaf Al Qaseer, Chairman of Sharjah Labor Standards Development Authority, inaugurated the 3-day event.

Hundreds of people including senior officials of LSDA and other government departments, workers and workers participated.

 Salem Youssef Al Qaseer said that there is a society that embraces cultural diversity and coexistence among people of different nationalities who enjoy their rights and a comfortable life, where sincere efforts will be made to implement the guidelines of the UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi to provide an attractive work environment for workers and employers.

  The LSDA aims to ensure the rights of workers and employers, and to improve labor standards and enforcement mechanisms.

Cultural, folk and musical programs were held.  National day parades, cultural, awareness, folk and art programs etc. were also staged.  There are also camel rides, falconry, free traditional food and a tent for live folk music performances from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Africa.
