The former US first lady and secretary of state visited the country during the time of the second Forbes 30/50 Summit.
Former US secretary of state Hillary Clinton visited NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) earlier this week and chatted with some of the faculty, staff, and students there.
“Welcoming former US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton to our campus is a huge honor for NYU Abu Dhabi. Vice-Chancellor of NYUAD Marit Westermann described her as “an inspiring politician, a skillful diplomat, and a trailblazing advocate for women and girls around the world.”
Her visit serves as a reminder to our students, faculty, and community as a whole that to address today’s global concerns, they must also act with integrity. Secretary Clinton has exemplified how to lead a more compassionate and just society via her many years of public service and unwavering efforts.
There are close ties between NYUAD and the Clinton family. Chelsea Clinton gave remarkable aid in luring students for the university’s initial classes in 2010 when it first opened its doors. Former US President Bill Clinton honored the university in 2014 by delivering the initial commencement address at NYUAD.
The Clinton Global Initiative University, a program that is closely tied to NYUAD’s aim to engage and inspire the next generation of global leaders, has also attracted a substantial number of students to the school. Graduate of CGIU and NYUAD, Sara Pan Algarra is a 2021 Hillary Rodham Clinton Global Challenges Scholar.
