UAE-Oman Signed Many Cooperation Agreements

Dubai: In addition to railways, UAE and Oman have signed cooperation agreements in many fields such as education, scientific research, agriculture, finance, and media. The agreements were signed as part of strengthening the relationship between the two countries.

UAE on cooperation and investment in the industrial sector. Between the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology and Oman Ministry of Commerce Industry Investment Promotion UAE  It was signed by Suhail bin Mohammed Al Masrouei, Minister of Energy Infrastructure Development, and Lasim Al Awfi, Minister of Energy of Oman.

The Ministry of Culture and Youth also signed an agreement to foster ties in the youth and culture sectors.  And the U.A.E.  Cooperation in the field of education has been established between the Ministry of Education and the Oman Higher Education Research Institute.

Al Masroei and Al Awfi also signed a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources of Oman.

UAE to promote cooperation in transport and logistics sectors  An agreement has been reached between the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and the Omani Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology.  Apart from this, an agreement was reached between the two countries for cooperation in the field of maritime transport.

UAE  Another memorandum of understanding was signed between the Financial Intelligence Unit and the National Center for Financial Information of Oman to exchange information related to money laundering, related crimes, and financing of terrorism.  Ali Faisal Baalavi, Head of Financial Intelligence Unit and CEO of National Center for Financial Information. It was signed by Lieutenant Colonel Abdulrahman Amar Al Kiyumi.

The agreements also include a memorandum of understanding between UAE’s national news agency WAM and Oman’s ONA news agency.  The MoU was signed by Ibrahim Al Azri, Director General and Editor in Chief.

ADQ, an Abu Dhabi-based investment and holding company, has partnered with Oman’s Information and Communication Technologies Group.  A memorandum of understanding was signed between Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) and Muscat Stock Exchange regarding cooperation in financial markets.
