The UAE authorities reaffirmed on Friday that it is a criminal subject to severe punishments to reveal material from court cases.

The UAE Public Prosecution reaffirmed in a tweet that all information about investigations and subsequent results must be kept secret.

It is forbidden to share any information with public prosecution employees, clerks, assistants, experts, or anyone else who may be aware of proceedings in court, the authority advised in a statement. Violators will face severe punishments.

Under a subclause of Article 67 of the Criminal Processes Act established by Federal Decree-Law No. 38 of 2022, “Evidence collecting reports shall be treated with the same confidentially,” it was added.
