Sharjah ruled also dissolves Sharjah educational council and appoints a parent council
Sharjah: Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah issued Your Royal Highness Emiri Decree No. 11 of 2023, which disbanded the Sharjah Education Council.
The Sharjah Education Council, which was established by Law No. 1 of 2023, is to be disbanded as of April 1st, 2023, according to the judgement.
The Sharjah Award for Educational Achievement and Excellence Committee and Councils of Parents of Male and Female Students will be established in the emirate of Sharjah in accordance with the ordinance. This committee has complete legal authority to carry out the required duties and is affiliated with the emirate’s central administration.
The Award and the Councils in the cities and areas of Sharjah are under the technical, administrative, and financial control of the Committee.
The Sharjah Ruler or his representative must decide whether to create the Committee, define its responsibilities, and lay forth its operational rules.
The management of the Award, the Office of the Councils, and the Office of the Sharjah Education Council’s Secretary-General should be attached to the Committee, with their budgetary allotments approved by the Council.
