Delhi: Kashmiri apples will now be available in the UAE. Al Maya Group, which has more than 50 supermarkets in GCC countries, has brought Kashmiri apples for sale. Kashmiri apples are high-quality apples. They are mainly harvested in the months of September-October.
Al Maya Group Director, Partner Kamal Vachni responded that he is happy to be able to deliver Kashmiri apples, which are the best in the world, to their supermarkets in the UAE. Al Maya Group is a UAE-based business conglomerate. Apart from the UAE, the group has around 50 supermarkets in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
Consumers in the UAE said that this is the first time they are getting Kashmiri apples in the UAE. India is in seventh place in apple production. Apple has a share of about three percent of the production, said Mir Syed Shahid Ahmed Kamili, President of the Federation of Chambers of Industries in Kashmir.
About 80 percent of the apples grown in India come from Kashmir. The government is promoting the export of Kashmiri products by providing subsidies. He said that he is thankful to the Indian government for this.
